Water Birth/Labor in Water Resources in the DC area
Most facilities and providers have guidelines about who can use tubs during labor and under what circumstances the tubs can be used, so it's important to talk with any provider about what their protocols are for use of a tub during labor.
Some facilities provide tubs for comfort during labor, but the birth itself must take place out of the water. This list is a starting point only; please discuss with your provider their specific policies on the usage of tubs during labor and delivery.

$250 (extra fee for delivery and pick up). To learn more about Aquadoulas, please visit www.aquadoula.com or give me a call. Aquadoulas are wonderful birth tubs because they are sturdy, deep enough to completely submerge in, large enough for mama and partner, and have built-in heaters to maintain a perfect water temperature throughout the entire labor. The rental comes with everything that you need including a personal, disposable liner, a electric pump for emptying the tub, a hot water hose, faucet adapter, instructions and more. I review the parts and the easy setup with you when you get the pool. For more information and to reserve your tub, please call or text me at 202-446-4400 or email me at [email protected]. Generally, I drop off the tub around 36-37 weeks and pick it up within about a week after your birth. There is no extra charge for going past your due date. I live in Myersville, MD, outside of Frederick and I'm in the DC and Baltimore areas regularly.
